The conditions of Bulgarian energy sector are dynamically changing and this can pose significant additional requirements before all parties involved.

Having said that,  the management and balancing of the electric transmission power grid with large quantity of newly installed wind power capacity would be unthinkable without a proper means of forecasting the generated power.


Our mission is to provide a solution to this problem through a modern technology supported by a team of experienced specialists in different fields including but not limited to meteorology, statistics, fluid dynamics, computer modeling and programming. As a result we are able to deliver a wind power production forecast based on a sound statistical model and tune it to our customer’s specific needs.

  

An accurate and reliable production forecast can be a powerful tool when it comes to ensuring an effective management of RES-based balancing groups and planning the optimal grid stability. We can deliver a forecast for a single wind turbine, a cluster of turbines or parks depending on the client’s preferences. A common way to group the production facilities and forecast their output is by a geographic region but this can also be done by a substation, power line, etc.

    

•    For management of RES-based balancing groups or maintaining transmission grid  stability, the requirements are as strict as possible

                        - Highest possible resolution of the forecast - an hourly forecast for 10 days ahead 
                        - High frequency of updates - every 12 hours

•  For scheduling wind turbine maintenance, the requirements are less demanding

                        - Medium or lower forecast resolution - 6, 12 or 24-hour  forecast for 12 days ahead
                        - Medium or lower frequency of updates - every 24 hours or more
